Benchmade 15085BK-04 Mini Crooked River Burnt Copper Black Micarta

The Benchmade 15085BK-04 Mini Crooked River refines a classic hunting knife profile into a more compact and carry-friendly folding platform while incorporating modern materials built for long-term performance. It maintains the heritage-inspired look of the Crooked River series while upgrading durability, corrosion resistance, and overall usability.

The blade is made from CPM-MagnaCut stainless steel, a next-generation steel that delivers a strong balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. This makes it well suited for outdoor environments where exposure to moisture, organic material, and repeated cutting tasks is common. The clip-point blade shape provides excellent control for precision work while maintaining enough belly for efficient slicing, making it ideal for field dressing, food preparation, and general utility use. The black DLC coating adds surface protection and reduces wear over time.

The handle combines Burnt Copper anodized aluminum bolsters with black Micarta scales, creating a durable and visually distinctive construction. The aluminum bolsters add structural strength and stability, while the Micarta provides a secure, textured grip that performs well in wet or cold conditions. This combination delivers a balance of traditional aesthetics and modern performance, giving the knife a solid, confidence-inspiring feel in hand.

The AXIS lock system provides ambidextrous operation, smooth deployment, and strong lockup under load. It is designed for repeated use and remains one of the most reliable and user-friendly locking mechanisms available in folding knives.

In practical use, the Mini Crooked River is positioned as a versatile outdoor knife that transitions easily into everyday carry. It is capable of handling hunting tasks, camp work, and general cutting needs while still being compact enough for regular pocket carry. Its size and materials make it a strong choice for users who want a knife that feels substantial without being overly large or heavy.

The 15085BK-04 configuration emphasizes durability, corrosion resistance, and refined materials, making it a strong option for users who want a modern take on a classic hunting knife that performs reliably across a wide range of environments.
